Memasukkan PIN secara terbalik di ATM manapun akan memanggil Polisi!

Isi Klaim 1 :

"Jika anda sedang terancam jiwanya karena dirampok atau ditodong seseorang untuk mengeluarkan uang dari atm ,maka anda bisa minta pertolongan diam2 dengan memberikan nomor pin secara terbalik, misal no asli pin anda 1254 input 4521 di atm maka mesin akan mengeluarkan uang anda, juga tanda bahaya Ke kantor polisi, tanpa diketahui pencuri tersebut. Fasilitas ini tersedia di seluruh atm tapi hanya sedikit orang yang tahu, tolong kasih tahu info ini kepada yang lain."

Isi Klaim 2 :

"I just found out that should you ever be forced to withdraw monies from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse. The machine will still give you the monies you requested, but unknown to the robber, etc, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you. The broadcast stated that this method of calling the police is very seldom used because people don't know it exist, and it might mean the difference between life and death. Hopefully, none of you will have to use this, but I wanted to pass it along just in case you hadn't heard of it. Please pass it along to everyone possible."

Isi Klaim 3 :

"PIN NUMBER REVERSAL! If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse. For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you. This information was recently broadcast on CTV and it states that it is seldom used because people don't know it exists. I checked with my Bank of Nova Scotia to see if this was correct and staff said yes this information is correct. Please pass this along to everyone possible."

Isi Klaim 4 :

"WHEN A THIEF FORCES YOU TO TAKE MONEY FROM THE ATM, DO NOT ARGUE OR RESIST, YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW WHAT HE OR SHE MIGHT DO TO YOU. WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IS TO PUNCH YOUR PIN IN THE REVERSE, I..E IF YOUR PIN IS 1254, YOU PUNCH 4521. THE MOMENT YOU PUNCH IN THE REVERSE, THE MONEY WILL COME OUT BUT WILL BE STUCK INTO THE MACHINE HALF WAY OUT AND IT WILL ALERT THE POLICE WITHOUT THE NOTICE OF THE THIEF. EVERY ATM HAS IT; IT IS SPECIALLY MADE TO SIGNIFY DANGER AND HELP. NOT EVERYONE IS AWARE OF THIS. FORWARD THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND THOSE YOU CARE."

Ulasan :

Secara Logis ini adalah info yang fail dan bisa kita buktikan hoax tanpa analisa rumit :

1. Analisa pertama, lihat pola pada kalimat Saktinya "… tolong kasih tahu info ini kepada yang lain" atau "Ayo share info ini".

2. Salah memasukkan PIN ATM beberapa kali, otomatis ATM akan tertelan.

3. Contoh kasus, bagaimana jika misalkan PIN ATM Anda 333333 atau 1331. Nah tentu jika menurut Klaim tersebut, setiap memasukkan PIN (tanpa dibalik) maka itu sama saja memasukkan PIN dengan kebalikannya. Berarti pihak Kepolisian tetap datang meski nomor PIN benar?

Faktanya :

Bank-bank dunia melaporkan bahwa tidak ada ATM mereka saat ini telah terinstal, atau pernah telah terinstal, sistem darurat-PIN apapun. Produsen ATM juga menegaskan bahwa tidak ada ATM yang memiliki atau telah memiliki sistem PIN darurat.

Hoax ini mungkin berasal dari peraturan daerah negara bagian Illinois, Amerika Serikat SB 562 yang mendefinisikan sistem semacam ini, walaupun tidak mengharuskannya

Sistem ini juga tertulis pada rencana peraturan daerah negara bagian Georgia SB 379 yang belum diratifikasi :

The operators of remote service terminals shall be permitted to charge a fee of $1.50 per month to customers who subscribe to this service."

Dan yang terakhir adalah peraturan daerah negara bagian Kansas SB 333 yang gagal untuk diberlakukan :

"Any automated teller machine operated in this state shall be designed and programmed so that when a consumer enters such consumer’s personal identification number in reverse order, the automated teller machine automatically sends an alarm to the local law enforcement agency having jurisdiction over the automated teller machine location."

Intinya, ada undang-undang yang mendefinisikan sistem semacam ini, tetapi tidak mengharuskan atau undang-undangnya sendiri tidak atau belum berlaku. Sepanjang pengetahuan Kami, belum ada ATM yang mengimplementasikan sistem seperti ini.

Yang jelas, beberapa orang sudah mencoba hal ini di ATM Bank Mandiri dan BCA. Ketika dicoba Mesin melakukan protes bahwa 'PIN yang anda masukkan salah' dan yang jelas tidak pernah ada polisi yang datang dengan memasukkan PIN secara terbalik.
